UX Case Study: EmpowerAI - The AI-Powered Training & Placement Portal

Introduction

EmpowerAI is an AI-powered Training & Placement (TnP) portal designed to bridge the gap between students, employers, and educational institutions. The platform enhances student upskilling, streamlines employer collaboration, and creates a seamless connection between all stakeholders in the hiring ecosystem.

Problem Statement

Traditional placement processes are inefficient, often disconnected, and lack personalization. Students struggle to access relevant opportunities, while employers and institutions find it difficult to match the right candidates with suitable roles. The absence of AI-driven insights results in time-consuming and ineffective hiring practices.

Research & Discovery

To understand the core pain points, extensive research was conducted through competitor analysis, and industry reports. Key findings revealed that students needed personalized career guidance, employers sought efficient talent acquisition, and institutions required a streamlined placement management system.

UX Strategy & Design Process

  1. User Research & Personas: Defined key user groups i.e students, recruiters, and institutions, to tailor the experience accordingly.
    1. Information Architecture: Designed a structured navigation system ensuring ease of access to essential features.
      1. Wireframing & Prototyping: Created initial wireframes using Whimsical, followed by interactive prototypes in ProtoPie.
        1. UI & Visual Design: Developed a clean, modern interface in Figma, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness.
          1. Usability Testing: Conducted iterative testing with real users to refine the experience based on feedback.
